Cub Scout activities are centered around earning the Rank emblem specific to a Cub Scout's grade level. Advancement refers to the progress a Cub Scout makes toward their Rank emblem. All of the activities for each rank are detailed online and in the Cub Scout Handbook.

ADVENTURES
Cub Scouts participate in Adventures that are specific to their grade and rank. 8 Adventures (6 Core and 2 Elective) must be completed to earn the Rank emblem for each grade level. Bobcat is the first Adventure for all ranks, then the remaining Adventures may be earned in any order. Completion of Adventures is how the aims of Character and Leadership, Citizenship, Personal Safety, Outdoors, Family and Reverance, and Personal Fitness are developed.
